Job Description

Position: QA Supervisor Reports to: QA Manager This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Quality Assurance team as a QA Supervisor. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and safety. In this position, under the leadership of our QA Manager, you will oversee and maintain our food safety programs, including GMP, HACCP, BRC, and other audit programs, while also supervising and mentoring a team. You’ll play a leadership role in monitoring compliance and supporting plant employees in maintaining food safety and quality throughout the production process.OpportunitiesAs a QA Supervisor, you will play an essential role in supporting our quality control efforts by ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and company expectations. Knowledgeamp; skills
  • You have knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards (HACCP Certificate)
  • You have working knowledge of GFSI standards and current government regulations.
  • You have solid computer skills including MS Office
  • You have knowledge in Hazard analysis, risk assessment, internal auditing, and food safety training employees.
  • You have experience in supervising or leading a team in a food safety or quality assurance capacity.
Experience
  • You have a Degree in Food Science or equal/relevant education
  • You have 2 or more years working in a similar role
Nice-to-Have
  • Valid Driver’s license is preferred.
  • You have experience working in a manufacturing facility
  • GFSIamp; PCQI certification is an asset
things you will do…
  • Develop and implement programs and training plans for HACCP, BRC, FSMAamp; other quality standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and train Quality Control team members, ensuring adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Write and review SOPs, SSOPs, and forms to ensure compliance with GMP and BRCGS Requirements.
  • Facilitate orientation training and ensure alignment with proceduresamp; policies by updating and monitoring SOP’s, and more.
  • Ensure that Document control is maintained and updated in a timely manner.
  • Oversee shipping/receiving process timely addressing quality concerns.
  • Conduct risk analysis and work collaboratively to solve quality issues leading with appropriate actions
  • Work closely with QA Manager to prepare and execute audit schedule ensuring all system are reviewedamp; corrective actions are closed out.
  • Gap Analysis and Assist in implementation of HACCP program
  • Assist in ordering lab supplies as needed.
  • Support new product development and lead daily GMPs walkthroughs in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work with departments to assist in employee trainingamp; monitor training schedule.
