OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in a dynamic bakery manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.Duties

• Operate forklifts, including Counter balance, Raymond Reach and Dock stocker, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement and organization of goods.
• Perform order picking tasks using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders.
• Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse food/bakery maufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and effectively.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is desirable.
• Previous experience with order picking or as an order picker is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
