The HRBP collaborates with all levels of management, as an HR expert, to provide advice on a wide range of topics such as employee relations, employee recognition, talent management, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, change management, and anything else to enhance the employee experience. The HRBP is also an advocate for employees, a coach for leaders, a champion of the NLS Values, and someone who promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate is a strong team player who is enthusiastic, resourceful, and results-driven HRBP.Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and implements the NLS employee initiatives that reinforce employee engagement, enhance the overall culture, and drive overall commitment to support the organization objectives of service and growth.
  • Plan, organize, and execute the overall people strategy such as the Voice of NLS, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, Service Awards, and NLS Recognition
  • Provide coaching and support to facility leaders on all employee relations initiatives.
  • Works closely with talent acquisition team to develop a robust pipeline of talent for growth.
  • Support recruitment and retention strategies of hourly associates. Support recruitment planning and activities for peak periods.
  • Leads onboarding and orientation for new teammates.
  • Available and accessible to all employees ensuring great service and responding to employee enquiries.
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams to understand their business goals, offer assistance to make a difference, and guide others on reaching their objectives.
  • Oversee and provide counsel on the full employee life cycle.
  • Develop and identify solutions to simplify, automate, and improve the people processes.
Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor #39;s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.
  • CHRP designation preferred (or working towards a CHRP).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resource Generalist role.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Professionalism and diplomacy with all levels of the organization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPointamp; Outlook) is required.
  • Working in a distribution centre environment would be an asset.
  • Must own a vehicle and have a driver’s license in good standing.
