Mont-Laurier provides an ideal setting for those seeking long-term stability in a peaceful, nature-rich environment with affordable housing and a welcoming community.SummaryPlan the short, medium and long-term preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of all equipment on site. Manage the maintenance software and the purchase requisitions it generates. Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to support production goals. Analyze emergencies and frequent breakdowns and implement corrective action plans. Establish and update total productive maintenance procedures and performance indicators. Assist the maintenance department staff and perform special missions as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesAssume responsibility for the efficient and timely planning of maintenance.

  • Plan preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance work according to the schedule and transmit work orders to the supervisor of the department concerned.
  • Analyze recurring breakdowns and make the necessary recommendations, if necessary, with the supervisor of the department concerned.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance work with maintenance and production departments. Manage priorities effectively.
  • Take corrective action following unplanned outages
  • Perform all other related duties.
Assume responsibility for the maintenance software and related maintenance and administration documents.
  • Set up a maintenance schedule for all equipment on the site. Continuously maintain maintenance software.
  • Prepare requisitions for the purchase of parts or services as well as the creation of purchase orders and the receipt of goods, when applicable. Ensure the availability of parts for maintenance activities.
  • Perform tool vault management.
  • Track the push-up time binder and adjust Interal accordingly.
  • Create all new equipment in the maintenance software.
Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant departments and supervisor.
  • Maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a professional reputation of the company.
  • Inform the supervisor of plant activities and any significant issues.
  • Identify problems and suggest solutions.
  • Attend and participate in assigned committees and training sessions to update technical knowledge as required.
  • Perform all other related duties.
Education
  • DEC in mechanical engineering or equivalent and/or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the internal software and the Microsoft suite.
  • Understanding of a production process.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have all the relevant qualifications and skills relevant to the position.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
