Company descriptionEscrime Mont-Royal, formerly the Montreal Fencing Club, moved to the 3rd floor of the NDG Community Centre in 1969, where it has made its home for the past 50 years. All three sport weapons (epee, foil and sabre) and historical smallsword are practiced by members aged 8 to 78. Instruction is offered in both English and French.Job descriptionEMR is searching for an Administrative Assistant for Fall 2021 to aide in managing daily activities and assist in the integration of new services for our club.Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Implementing COVID-19 procedures for on-site activities and updating information regarding procedures
  • Digitizing contact tracing and other necessary data for club activities
  • Publishing blog posts and social media posts for on-site and and remote activities
  • Composing monthly newsletters concerning club activities / events, as well as provincial and national fencing events
  • Assisting in the planning and running of various meetings
  • Recording and digitizing meetings and associated documents
  • Digitizing documents to be presented to the general assembly
  • Collaborating with club webmaster to implement design/content updates to forms, automated reminders, and the club website
Skills required:
  • Creativity
  • Adaptability
  • Time Management
  • Basic HTML is an asset
  • Experience with Blogger is an asset
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) is a requirement
  • Experience with multiSheet Spreadsheets and complex formulae is an asset
  • Experience with Google Forms, Slides, Meet, Calendar is an asset
  • Experience with Freedcamp (Project Management System) is an asset
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and French
