construction manager, apartmentsAre you looking for career opportunities within a global growing real estate companyThen you might be our next Construction Manager, Apartments.Join us and be a part of our journey.job descriptionAkelius is seeking an energetic self-motivated Construction Manager to join a fast paced growing team.The selected candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects at one time in various phases of development and to meet established goals including speed to market, quality, and budget.The Construction Manager’s primary focus will be on the specific needs of the project, residents, vendors, and contractors.They will also required to track project financials and schedule and report status regularly.

  • manage multiple residential suite renovations
  • initiate projects from the concept stage and manage to completion
  • coordinate and collaborate with contractors and internal team members
  • effectively manage all renovation projects for the allocated portion of the cities portfolio
  • monitor and communicate schedule for on time completion of projects
  • perform regular site reviews to ensure completed suite meets the Akelius quality expectations
  • advise on budget, track project costs and provide recommendations
  • provide supervisors with updates on quality, schedule and budget
  • define scope, review quotes, negotiate and award contracts
  • communicate to team members project progress
  • other duties as assigned
who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • three to five years’ experience in this type of role
  • knowledge of construction installation techniques and the Quebec Building Code
  • fluency in English and French
