We’re seeking a digital content specialist to write original blog articles and work with contributors to edit and optimize articles for search. You’ll be supporting a content strategy team to develop a healthy editorial calendar and publish 2-3 articles per week.Here’s what you’ll get to doDevelop and write original short-form blog articles assigned by the blog editor and content strategists. Conduct independent research, interview subject matter experts, and repurpose existing assets in order to complete assignments.Work with contributors to proofread, restructure, and edit articles with an eye for quality and accuracy.Follow basic journalistic standards to prevent plagiarism, cite sources accurately, and substantiate claims.Optimize articles for SEO keywords and apply SEO best practices to metadata, titles, and copy.Create and incorporate tracking codes to aid in measuring blog performance.Source and prepare imagery for blog articles.Upload, format, and publish articles in the content management system.Create and manage tasks in the project management system.Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including global campaigns, social media, product marketing, web, PR, design, and others.Maintain contributor guidelines and enforce standards.Support content strategists with other writing and editing tasks as needed.Skills and experience we’re looking forEducation and experienceBachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or marketing.2-3 years of experience writing about software for external audiences such as digital news media, blog, or a corporate marketing/communications environment.
