Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance.Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.This is a contractual position, 3 days per week for a period of one (1) year.Your roleAs Digital Editor for the MAJ – News for Young Audiences project, you will be responsible for managing the brand’s platforms and user communities. You will post content online as scheduled. You will write headlines, synopses, articles and short copy, as well as create thumbnails for video content. You will also assist in planning for upcoming publications.Additionally, you will focus on developing communities around the project. This will involve making creative proposals to engage those communities across all platforms – website, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. You will respond to user comments and emails in keeping with Radio-Canada’s netiquette rules.You will work on a daily basis with the multiplatform production team as well as other members of the Kids & Youth and News departments.We are looking for a candidate with the following:Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years’ relevant experience
Skills:
  • Good general and current-events knowledge
  • Superior French-language and writing skills
  • Advanced understanding of social platforms and their technical specifications (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook)
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure
  • Teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of English an asset
Selected candidates will be tested as follows:
  • Theory test: French
  • Interview
