Job Description

The team:You would be part of a creative content marketing team that produces all kinds of content such as customer stories, web pages, ads, blog posts, product brochures, editorial bylines, and more.We all work closely and help each other to succeed. Well provide you with the tools, guidance, and coaching you need to learn about our industry and excel at your projects.What your day will look like:

  • Provide an editing service to marketing colleagues to ensure quality standards are upheld
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check content projects to ensure it answers the brief, has proper structure and flow, is grammatically correct, and adheres to the Genetec brand and quality guidelines
  • Optimize content for SEO
  • Perform a variety of writing tasks
  • Perform research for writing projects, and help support the development of new content ideas
  • Participate in brainstorms, editorial meetings, trainings, and interviews
  • Stay on top of projects and ensure deadlines are met
About you:
  • Outstanding verbal and written English language skills
  • Minimum 2 years of copywriting experience
  • Experience with proofreading and editing
  • Experience with marketing writing/editing
  • Detail-oriented, can self-edit, and produce quality work
  • Understand digital writing practices including the use of keywords/SEO
Great if you have:
  • A Bachelor of Journalism or Marketing
  • Experience working in the technology industry
  • Experience writing about software, cloud, IoT, security, cybersecurity, etc.
  • The ability to keep up with a fast paced environment
  • Strong French language skills
