Ask us what we do, and we’ll tell you: “We live to create inspiring artscapes.”Job DescriptionThis position plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of events that are a cornerstone of our marketing strategy and brand development. There will be lots of travel while you oversee and ensure the successful execution of each event. There are also hundreds of new people to meet as you’ll be helping to attract and support our event sponsors, a privileged group of related suppliers to the trade who help us grow these events in both scope and reach every year. Its a fast-paced environment that demands a team player with a can-do attitude.Responsibilities
  • Assist and execute the promotional and educational event strategies, tactical plans and related projects from beginning to end (event logistics, venues, personnel, registration, marketing material and promotional material);
  • Coordinate sponsorship strategy: in charge of developing and getting sign offs for assets and supporting our sponsors before and during the events;
  • Ensure accuracy of the budget and manage timelines;
  • Source and select suppliers/services, negotiate agreements and manage costs;
  • Collaborate frequently with affected departments (Sales, Logistics, Marketing);
  • Coordinate execution of events on-site in Canada and the USA.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Extensive availability to travel during Q1 2022 (approx. 35%) to coordinate and attend all events;
  • Hold a valid passport and have the capacity to travel to the USA;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Hands-on experience in operations and logistics;
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism in dealing with multiple stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills and highly structured work habits;
  • Tech-savvy with strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite;
  • Excellent French and English communication skills, written and verbal;
  • Capable of managing multiple projects with short deadlines.
