Description:PurposeThe successful Human Resource Generalist will source exceptional talent, collaborate with department managers and employees on a regular basis, and will participate in different HR initiatives and projects. As part of team, your role is crucial to ensure we hire the best talent that will contribute to Kitco’s success while bringing innovative ideas that will help sustain and build a dynamic work environment.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Recruitment:Manage and coordinate all stages of the employee recruitment, selection and orientation process by assisting, managers in their efforts to meet business needsMeet with the director/manager/supervisor to discuss new hire mandates. Provide assistance to hiring manager in developing and revising job descriptions as requiredSourcing and headhunting candidates while searching for the best talentScreen resumes, conduct telephone interview and face to face interview as requiredConduct reference verifications as requiredPrepare employee contractsAssure that the hiring process steps are all completed, including preparing employee’s new hire ticketConducting first day’s orientationHuman Resources Projects:Assist the HR Manager & Director on different HR projects. These can include implementations, compensation reviews, employee engagement initiatives, etc.Ensure proper companywide communications and updates to employeesBuild and oversee the HR team’s social media presence for recruitment and employer brandingEmployee relations:Perform exit interviewsEnsure that employees and supervisors receive timely answers to HR questionsEstablish and maintain supportive relationships with employees, supervisors and managersAct as a backup to other HR staff as required and ensure that their tasks are completed during their absence(s)All other administrative tasks as neededRequired Skills and Competencies:3+ years’ work experience in a relevant human resources roleUniversity degree in Human Resources would be an asset or a related field of studySeasoned in recruitment (sourcing, interviewing, assessing and hiring staff)Ability to identify strengths and limitations of individuals and assess fit within the organization and teamExperience in reference verificationExperience working with people at various levels within an organizationKnowledge and experience using an Applicant Tracking SystemKnowledge and experience using an HRIS an assetCompetency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet)BilingualExcellent writing skillsGeneral or Personal Competencies required:Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as customer service skillsDemonstrate follow-through and attention to detailStrong ability to communicate ideas and suggestions effectivelyPatient and understandingAbility to demonstrate strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee relations mattersAbility to adapt to change and work in a dynamic fast paced environmentAbility to prioritize and multi task concurrent mandates/projects/deadlines
