Job Description

Responsibilities4 month internship starting in May 2022TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork environment :The Global Technical Services organization (GTS) provides infrastructure engineering and administration for all SG staff and applications worldwide, and has a regional representation in each country where SG is present. The vision within GTS is to provide leading edge cost effective technology services and support based on an infrastructure that is shared by the SG companies, requiring adherence to common standards, policies and security settings. The teams are globally aligned in order to leverage best practices, standards and procedures on a worldwide basis.The mission of Digital Workplace Service (DWS) is to provide a mobile, smart, and simplified environment in an effort to improve employee productivity and efficiency. DWS defines, implements and executes the guidance implemented in "Workplace 2025" workstations, while delivering and executing services to users. It also manages the technical infrastructure associated with the user workstation.Tasks and responsibilities:We are looking for a motivated entry level intern to work with the Canadian User Support team. This is an opportunity to get practical hands-on experience working in IT, with many options for future career advancement paths (servers, databases, networking, security, application support, cloud).The work will be done on location in our main office in downtown Montreal, easily accessible by public transit and walking.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Asset management
  • Troubleshooting hardware, network issues, applications
  • Preparation of equipment
Profile requiredEducation:You are currently enrolled in AEC, DEC programms or Bachelor program / Master’s degree in computer science, software engineeringSkills required:Technical Skills:
