Job Description

Job DescriptionAs part of the operations team, reporting to the logistics manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are transiting smoothly. You will contribute to our overall operational effectiveness by ensuring timely delivery of customer orders and incoming shipment from our domestic and overseas suppliers. In this role, you will be the logistics expert in support of our sales team and our operations professionals.What you will be doing:

  • Monitor on time delivery of shipments and resolve transit issues related to transporters, brokers or customs.
  • Develop troubleshooting guidelines for future orders.
  • Manage complex logistics requirements by planning, booking and coordinating large international inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Help develop and improve the logistic process. Identify inefficiencies and improve operational efficiency.
  • Communicate with the reception team to help plan the inflow of goods.
  • Coordinate with the fulfillment team to help implement and improve Vention’s current customs compliance policy.
  • Support the 3-way invoice matching process to remove shipping issues
  • Participate to the shipping process of order from vention
Qualifications
  • Technical or Undergraduate degree in relevant field preferred (Operation management, Logistics, Business Management, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • 1- 2 years experience in the logistics and or brokerage industries, including import-export operations
  • Good business acumen and data manipulation skills are an asset
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
