The Quantitative Group has approximately $50 billion of assets under management.Reporting directly to the Vice President & Director of Research, the Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for:Maintaining and enhancing quantitative SQL databases.Designing and developing web applications used to manage and monitor portfolios and generate investment ideas.Developing, deploying and maintaining applications for automated collection, checks and quantitative analysis of financial data.Understanding the needs of the business and be pro-active in delivering sophisticated tools to increase the efficiency and capabilities of the Quantitative Group.Job RequirementsStrong programming skills, the ability to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly are essential for success at this position. We will consider candidates with strong technical backgrounds that do not necessarily have direct experience with the specific technologies used by our team. Contributions to relevant open source projects will be considered as asset.Experience in quantitative asset management and Financial Industry experience will be highly valued assets.Recommended skills and knowledge:Strong SQL, Transact-SQL and PL/SQL programming with minimum 5 years experience in MS SQLExperience with SQL query performance optimization.Modern full stack web development.
