Whether you are a software developer, product engineer, sales team member, or part of our corporate team, at Ansys we know that by embracing what makes us each unique, we become collectively better.SUMMARYThe Product Manager is an intermediate professional,responsible for creating product related output (white papers, blog posts, product release updates, sales training, roadmaps, etc.) and translating market needs to product development roadmaps. The individualhas broad working knowledge of the product portfolio but may require input from a subject matter expert for a specific application focus. The individual has the competency to prepare nearly complete work that is subject to approval by senior colleagues.Ansys simulation components are increasingly used by a growing ecosystem of independent developers in their software solutions. This ecosystem needs automation of engineering simulation workflows that are fast, accurate, and easy-to-use. We are building a Cloud based Platform to enable the delivery of secure, reliable APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to access Ansys simulation capabilities and services, enhancing engineering processes with actionable insights from multi-physics simulation and Artificial Intelligence.In this role, you will be responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure and Services that will enable developers to quickly build new simulation applications and services to solve challenging, real-world problems. You will research and understand the infrastructure and services needed to build solutions using Ansys technologies with integrated data and automated workflows.You will demonstrate leadership through engagement with customers, field staff, and development teams to define the offering strategy, influence revenue objectives and go-to-market strategy. You will work closely with Strategy, Development, Support, Legal, and Sales teams. The role requires awareness of industry trends combined with excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate business value of technical innovations. This position requires strong technical acumen and the ability to drive consensus among cross-functional groups to achieve joint goals across a variety of stakeholders.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist product marketing and sales support activities for a specific line or area of the Business Units products
  • Work closely with Development teams to create realistic development plans and schedules
  • Assist with creation of written product specifications and requirements
  • Engage ACE (ANSYS Customer Excellence) teams regularly to gain product feedback and assess competitive threats
  • Maintain close relationships with customers to remain aware of their needs and perspectives
  • Lead efforts to produce technical white papers, application notes, product positioning presentations, and webinars as part of the GTM strategy
  • Engage and facilitate solutions in any Pre-Sales situations as appropriate
  • Function as a specialist/expert during customer visits and technical events as appropriate
  • Provide quality assurance testing and feedback on new product features and design flows as necessary
  • Research market needs to drive the vision for a world-class Cloud Platform
  • Articulate technical requirements, business value impact and competitive differentiation
  • Establish clear goals, key success metrics, detailed plans, and delivery roadmaps
  • Drive execution while anticipating and managing risks, measuring and communicating progress
  • Interact with all stakeholders, collecting feedback, prioritizing requests, and building consensus
  • Guide the architecture, dashboards, documentation, tools, and tutorials
  • Create use case stories for simulations leveraging Cloud resources
  • Partner with channels to grow the ecosystem around Ansys Cloud
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies in collaboration with Legal, Security, etc.
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field with 2 years of combined experience in any of the following: engineering, computer aided engineering (CAE) simulations, pre-sales support, sales, or customer engagement, or masters degree with no experience
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate business value of technical innovations
  • Experience with Cloud service providers, e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters degree in business, science or engineering, 5+ years of combined experience in engineering, CAE simulations, or technical sales
  • Prior experience in a product management role
  • 2+ years of Cloud Computing experience
  • 2+ years of combined experience in engineering, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) simulations, or technical sales
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to different audiences, both written and verbal, and to influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the technical architecture and development processes for Cloud distributed systems
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with other functional teams and in international markets to achieve common goals
  • Awareness of industry trends in the Cloud and CAE simulation spaces
