The position requires a customer service oriented individual able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be driven to provide exceptional technical support on product installation, assisting with troubleshooting and coordinating problem resolution. Services are performed using customer and Collins Aerospace approved methods and workmanship standards to ensure optimum equipment operation and customer satisfaction.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical support to field engineers, technicians and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing complex avionic/cabin systems, electro/mechanical equipment, telecommunications, computer systems, and/or software not related to information technology.Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment. Can be tasked with planning and implementing interfaces between Collins Aerospace and Non-Collins Aerospace equipment in accordance with customer specifications.Troubleshoot technical problems and issues; determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications. Recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.Develop, conduct and maintain informal trainings, formal presentations and training product to the customer and Collins Aerospace employees. Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the ability to effectively train and provide technical guidance.Report design, reliability and maintenance problems to quality and design/software engineering.Serve as liaison between customer and other Collins Aerospace personnel, act as a site focal point.Employ analytical tools to assist the customer with root cause analysis, issue resolution and trend analysis – using intuition and experience to complement data.Manage logistics activities on-site, as required.Provide after hour support as necessary.Travel as required.WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:Must be a customer focused individual, cooperative, dependable with excellent problem-solving skills in order to provide superior customer experiences while building long-term relationships and demonstrating a passion to exceed customer expectations.Highly organized and energized by a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize tasks effectively.Proven ability to work unsupervised towards program goals. Able to make decisions and think on your feet to exercise sound judgement.Thrives on developing solutions consistent with organization objectives that resolve complex problems, demonstrating ingenuity innovation.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience ORIn absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is requiredPost-secondary education in aircraft avionics discipline, and five years of related experience in aviation.
