We are critical to the Bank’s key operations and we want to add your talent to our team.Your mandate will be to administer the DataStage platform as System Administrator. You will ensure the availability, robustness, monitoring and automation of the DataStage platform. In addition to these duties, we strive to automate the platform’s operation as much as possible based on DevOps practices. We want to add automated pipelines and work with our users to make them even more self-sufficient. Lastly, we have major update projects (infrastructure and software) for the platform in 2022. We want to offer you great challenges and excellent opportunities to make your mark within the organization!Your role and responsibilitiesActively work on our infrastructure modernization projectActively work on our platform update project (software)Take over activities for sound technological infrastructure management (patching, backup testing, etc.)Support our consumers during releasesWork on our automation initiatives to make our users as self-sufficient as possible (release, environment creation, etc.)Take action and manage incidents impacting the platform to ensure continued service availabilityImprove monitoring and alert solutions on the platformAssist users with questions/problems using the platformLead and take part in proofs of concept on the platform to make the most of DevOps and Cloud tools available to usYour profile and skillsNational Bank is looking to recruit the leaders of tomorrow.We are interested in meeting with you if you have the following qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience, OR a master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience, OR a university certificate/an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experienceAdvanced proficiency in managing an ETL platform, preferably DataStageAdvanced knowledge of Red Hat Linux in a System Administrator roleKnowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS/LSF) and IBM SAN StorageSkilled at investigating database issuesBasic knowledge of networking and firewallsKnowledge of ticketing and incident management tool (Remedy)Basic knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)Knowledge of automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Docker)Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, DataDog)Proven leadership skills, ability to influence others, initiative, discipline, ability to work independently and excellent team playerKnowledge of Agile and DevOps conceptsComfortable in a constantly changing environmentBilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)The Bank has innovated by modernizing its performance evaluation system to better meet our clients’ evolving needs.
