Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, your primary focus will be to ensure an excellent candidate experience for candidates while attracting the best talent for VIA. Your ability to recruit for a variety of roles, attention to detail, and passion for connecting with candidates and employees, will make you the perfect fit for this role. • Manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process for roles in both our Montreal, QC and Somerville, MA offices, which includes but is not limited to:
• Draft thoughtful job descriptions to accurately attract and excite top talent
• Lead kick-off meetings with hiring teams for new roles
• Screen incoming resumes against specific requirements
• Proactively source passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles and to build VIA’s talent pipeline
• Conduct in-depth phone interviews for both technical and non-technical roles
• Coordinate take-home assignments and hiring interviews
• Extend competitive offers to hire the best talent

• Contribute to continued process improvements and recruitment strategies
• Propose opportunities for VIA to participate in local networking events and engage with designated candidate groups

Proudly showcase your VIA colors as a brand ambassador

• Collaborate with your People and Operations colleagues and VIA’s marketing team to support the continuous improvement of our employer brand strategy
• Act as a first point of contact and ensure an exceptional candidate journey to promote VIA’s employee value proposition offering
• Support continued improvement and promotion of DE&I efforts at VIA

What you will bring to this role:

• Fluency in English (French is a large asset)
• 3 years of Talent Acquisition experience in a fast-paced technical environment
• A passion for sourcing and finding creative ways to attract top talent
• General knowledge of the Montreal market in terms of recruitment, sources of talent, benefits, and employment regulations
• Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to multi-task with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and BambooHR, a strong asset
• A sense of humor and passion for growing high-performance teams!
