About the DepartmentBNP Paribas has combined its expertise across Securities Services and Global Markets to create Derivatives Execution & Clearing. This is a single, cross-asset integrated execution & clearing business to help our clients. Derivatives Execution & Clearing provides a full range of services in OTC and ETD clearing and execution, across asset classes (equities, fixed income and commodities). We operate globally with a direct presence on most of the world’s markets.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be part of a dynamic team supporting the DEC Clearing business, operations and client services teams.
  • The person in this role will be part of a global team will be responsible maintaining and supporting Clients on their UBIX architecture.
  • Day to day tasks involve investigation and resolving client issues, new installations, upgrades and any projects specific to assigned accounts.
  • The UBIX Application Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the relationship between business, development, BA and FIS as a vendor
  • Whilst gaining a detailed understanding of both the UBIX application, the Application Support should be able to quickly analyze production issues, provide solutions where possible and escalate to the development team.
  • Write technical specification and document functional flows and procedures.
  • Management of documentation and post release checkouts UAT and Production releases.
  • Identify and assist in resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering with more than 5 years of experience supporting a middle office/back office platform within a financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UBIX application.
  • Knowledge/interest of the financial markets i.e. CME Group, ICE, EUREX, OCC, SGX, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting language, i.e. Perl, Python, Javascript, Rexx or VBScript
  • Demonstrated expertise writing and running database queries on large data-sets
  • Experience working with databases(Oracle, Sybase, SqlServer)
  • Experience troubleshooting and configuring the following technologies (MQ Series, network connectivity, FIX/FIXML/FPML, SQL, Citrix)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic environment
  • Some remote off hours support is required
