Job Description

Primary Locations: Montreal, QuebecEmployee Status: RegularSchedule: Full-timeAs a Senior Advisor, System Administrator, you will guide the development of major IT projects and mandates that have a significant impact on the Bank’s profitability and efficiency and require a high-level of experience and expertise. You will act as a leader in your field of expertise and make recommendations on technology maintenance and upgrades for Integration Services.Your role will be to influence and support the achievement of the Banks strategic objectives by implementing technology strategies and solutions (as part of specific projects) that optimize the quality of services and operations and are aligned with product trends in the market.Your main challenges:

  • Act as a leading expert in all aspects of administering Integration Services systems.
  • Assist the IT application support and operations teams in diagnosing and solving operational problems.
  • Recommend interventions and permanent corrective measures to support continuous improvement
  • Follow up on requests for changes, assess their impact on existing applications and issue recommendations
  • Maintain technical knowledge of the Unix and Linux ecosystems including integration points with applications used on its systems.
  • Support development teams with delivering solutions
  • Actively participate in the 12-month planning of maintenance and upgrading projects.
  • Periodically follow up on projects in progress.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Unix AIX and/or Linux Red Hat and CentOS technologies
  • Experience in DevOps technologies: Jenkins and Ansible
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical information in laymans terms and to understand complex technical concepts
  • Experience in writing technical documents
  • Leadership, initiative, and teamwork
  • Be on call on a 24/7 rotating shift
  • Bilingual, both spoken and written English and French
