Please note the hourly wage for this position is $18.21/hour.RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the General Servivces Supervisor, the Caretaker is responsible for the following:Cleaning and maintaining equipment (e.g. vacuums, and auto scrubber).Performing weed control and lawn care.Maintenance of grounds, duties include: snow removal, sweeping sidewalks and stairs.Reporting to General Services Supervisor on inventory stock, and ensure orders are ready; receive stock and distribute stock.Participates in the training of employees.Other duties include floor maintance: dry-wet mop, polishing and auto scrubbing; removal of waste and recycling, and general cleaning.QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of Grade 10 minimum.Basic computer skills, where required by the job.Basic knowledge of tools and equipment.Ability to work independently.Valid drivers licence when required by the job.Please note that all candidates are required to be fully vaccinated and present a current criminal record check (within 3 months), if successful.CLOSING DATE: February 28, 2022TO APPLY:Interested applicants may forward their resume in confidence to the attention of:Chelsea Robinson, General Services SupervisorCERobinson@extendicare.comQuick Apply
