    JobID: 2529Position Type: Facilities Department/Facility OperatorDate Posted: 3/29/2023Location: Coronach SchoolDate Available: 05/23/2023 CUPE Posting Number: 111-2022-2023Position Type: PermanentFTE: .85 (6.8 hours per day)Hours of Work: 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 12:45 p.m. - 4:18 p.m.Start Date: May 23, 2023Duties:The Facility Operator cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of school division buildings and their surrounding grounds and assists the Head Facility Operator.Education & Qualifications:
    • A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the
    Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)
    • A valid Fireman’s certificate if required by legislation
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (W.H.M.I.S.) Certificate
    • Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position
    • A working knowledge of computers
    • A valid Class 5 driver’s license
    Physical Requirements:
    • Good physical condition with the ability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects)
    • The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders
    Wage & Benefits:In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
