Consultant, Program Effectiveness - HUM011576Employment Type: Non-Perm Out-of-ScopeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-Regina SK-Central East-Yorkton, SK-South Central-Moose Jaw, SK-Stoon-SaskatoonMinistry: 036 Social ServicesSalary Range: $7,049-$9,165 MonthlyGrade: MCP.07.The Ministry of Social Services, Disability Programs, is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with expertise to plan, lead, coordinate and perform research and analysis in the areas of planning, accountability, evaluation, and policy development. The Program Effectiveness (PE) Consultant will be part of a team of consultants responsible for providing analysis and research that supports policy and program design and will be called upon to provide advice and recommendations on major work planning and change initiatives for the division and Ministry. This is a term position ending on May 15, 2023. Work location to be determined based on candidate selection.In this role, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate Disability Programs’ planning and accountability processes in alignment with the Planning and Accountability Management System (PAMS);
  • Formulate briefing materials, presentations, strategies, plans and proposals that align with the future direction, objectives of the Ministry.
  • Apply knowledge of research and evaluation techniques to conduct quantitative and qualitative reviews of existing programs.
  • Support teams in continuous improvement processes and change management.
  • Understand and respond to multiple demands.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with senior officials and staff.
  • Be results oriented and accountable with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment; and
  • Have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Program Effectiveness Unit. The PE Consultant will support the Ministry’s planning and reporting cycle through development, implementation, and ongoing renewal of the annual and strategic planning processes, providing leadership and support activities undertaken as a part of the Planning and Accountability Management System. This includes the coordination of the Ministry’s environmental scan, risk management and reporting processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing policy analysis on a wide range of data and information to support executive decision making and for conducting primary and secondary research.Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through graduate level studies, supplemented with job-related experience.We are committed to workplace diversity.Hours of Work: M - Monthly Out of ScopeNumber of Openings: 1Closing Date: Jul 1, 2022, 12:59:00 AMQuick Apply
