This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high quality learning experience for all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students.Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)Job DutiesJob DutiesProvide instruction in the Literacy Levels 1-4 (Adult 12 with some Adult 10). Although the position may require instructing in more than one of the content areas, strong skills in teaching Social Studies 30 or Native Studies 30 or History 30 is recommended. Duties include:1. Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.2. Plan and deliver learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs and contributions of a culturally diverse community.3. Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.4. Maintain records of achievement, attendance and other student related information and report such information as required.5. Identify resources and equipment appropriate to support curriculum/course implementation.6. Be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of special learning needs including equity groups and diverse learners.7. Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.8. Respond to curriculum/course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs.9. Assist students in areas of personal, academic and career development.10. Engage students in learning activities designed to strengthen ties to work and/or career development.11. Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.12. Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.13.
