Job Description

Job descriptionThis trainee role provides the opportunity for exposure to both project management and technical design focused at a specific operating facility. With the potential for exposure across all project stages, successful candidates will be responsible for leading projects <$5M, with opportunities for hands-on field experience at the assigned operating site. The Project Development Trainee interfaces across functions and disciplines to ensure completeness of business case and technical definition.Responsibilities

  • Business Planning, Evaluation and Concept Selection
  • Responsible for ensuring clear objectives and strategies are set for the project, aligning stakeholders on project priorities and leading evaluation of concepts in line with objectives and priorities for the project
  • Scope Optimization and Front End Engineering and Design (FEED)
  • Responsible for ensuring project competitiveness to ensure safe, reliable, cost effective design bases for projects, often overseeing and directing contractor development of FEED
  • Detailed Design oversight, and Start Up/Commissioning opportunities
  • Provide oversight and quality control on contractor deliverables, participating in and contributing to various reviews and project assessments as well as opportunities for systems start up and turnover
  • Within this trainee role there is also potential for special assignments related to overall process improvements for the team or site.
QualificationsAcademic
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted.
  • Preference for Chemical or Mechanical Engineering but all disciplines will be considered

  • Must have strong communication and collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups.
