Job Summary: This IT Team Lead position requires a highly experienced professional to guide a data team (4-10 members) through a complex data migration and conversion project for a Valuation Enhancements Solution (CRAVES) deployment. The role involves technical leadership, stakeholder management (internal and external), and collaboration with various teams and vendors to ensure successful data migration to a SaaS environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the data migration strategy, overseeing data cleansing and quality control, and producing regular status reports. Location: Canada, RemoteResponsibilities: - Lead a data team of 4-10 experienced resources. - Manage internal and external stakeholders. - Supervise data team resources. - Collaborate with other delivery teams and the SaaS supplier. - Identify, define, collate, document, and communicate data migration requirements. - Conduct discovery sessions for current and future state analysis. - Provide support and guidance to business users. - Support all reporting needs and data profiling. - Identify project deliverables and required tasks. - Support the project manager in developing the project plan. - Identify and engage Data Trustees and Stewards. - Create and maintain an inventory of all legacy data and file assets. - Develop and implement the data migration strategy. - Develop data migration specifications, including data mapping and translation. - Oversee the data cleansing process. - Define performance indicators and quality metrics. - Ensure compliance with data-related policies and standards. - Review the conversion specification with the SaaS supplier. - Work with the integration team to identify data migration requirements for integrated systems. - Set up tools for data extraction, transformation, and cleansing. - Write and execute data extraction scripts. - Establish data governance for the project lifecycle. - Review legacy data and file quality, identify issues, and recommend solutions. - Collect and consolidate business rules information. - Monitor and evaluate data migration activities. - Understand data usage and implications for data migration across multiple teams. - Produce a list of risks and milestones. - Manage decisions with business sign-off. - Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts. - Develop best practices for data migration activities. - Perform data reconciliation. - Perform migration and testing of static and transactional data. - Perform data migration audit, reconciliation, and exception reporting. - Prioritize business and project needs with the business lead and project manager. - Prepare regular data migration status reports. Required Skillsamp; Certifications: - Bachelor #39;s degree in computer science or related field. - Minimum six years of experience in information management or related field. - Eight years of hands-on experience in ETL design and implementation. - Eight years of experience applying data migration best practices and using tools like SQL in Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MS Access. - Eight years of experience creating automated scripts for mass data testing and analysis. - Four years of experience leading diverse technical teams on complex data migration projects in large enterprises. Preferred Skillsamp; Certifications: - Eight years of experience in data migration analysis (data discovery, mapping, extraction, cleansing, and loading). - Four years of experience demonstrating a self-driven, results-oriented approach to problem-solving. - Four years of experience using various data formats (database extracts, spreadsheets, JSON, CSV, etc.). - Four years of experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Protection. - Four years of experience working in collaborative and autonomous team environments. - Experience with at least one cloud SaaS implementation with significant business transformation for complex data conversion.
