Employment opportunity: Full timeProduction Advisor – Western CanadaDSV Northstar is an integrated seed company specializing in the production, marketing and distribution of forage seeds, legumes, grass seed products, and leafcutter bees. After 40 years in business as Northstar Seed, we were acquired by DSV Germany, to become DSV Northstar. This has unlocked a lot of potential for future growth within our industry, and as such, we are looking to add to our seed production team.The successful candidate will work with forage seed producers across Western Canada to maintain a wide range of forage & turf seed production. Managing a base of contracted acres and developing additional seed production acres is required. Working alongside our contracted growers, the production advisor will provide agronomic support to maximize yield potential and seed quality.Candidates should be highly motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge. A background in agronomy is required, post-secondary education in agriculture preferred. Experience in forage & crop seed production would be an asset.
