We are passionate about continuous improvement and operate with high-integrity, motivated by our desire to do the right thing for our clients.As an Imaging, Email or Field Appraiser, you strive to provide peace of mind and compassionate service to our customers and communities. You prepare, review and approve repair estimates in an email, imaging or field setting. You act with the highest integrity, driven by a desire to do things the right way and to continually improve.How you will create impact:

  • Review, interpret and revise estimates and photos submitted digitally by suppliers and customers and return approved estimates. Review incoming requests.
  • Efficiently estimate, research and determine the availability of spare parts in accordance with company parts and repair policies.
  • Communicate regularly with all parties involved in the claims process.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders and build relationships throughout the claims process to discuss and approve repairs with suppliers and customers to ensure the safety and quality of repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our service and quality standards with the goal of positioning the company as an industry leader in customer engagement.

  • You use your critical thinking skills to identify assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You successfully convey messages and demonstrate openness to exploring alternative points of view.
  • You build trusting relationships and provide feedback to enable the successful development of your team and colleagues.
To join our team:
  • You have 6 years of experience in accident appraisals and repairs, or in a related field.
  • You hold an active GAA licence.
  • Post-secondary degree is an asset.
  • Collision repair or refinishing technician certificate and property damage appraiser certificate are assets.
  • I-CAR Platinum certification is an asset.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of automotive construction and repair techniques and procedures.
  • You have working knowledge and experience with auto policies, interpretation of the auto policy, claims processes and procedures.
What you need to know:
  • You must have your own vehicle, a valid driver #39;s licence and an active insurance policy.
  • You will travel occasionally.
  • Overtime may be required, including evenings and weekends.
  • There is the potential for exposure to hazards requiring health and safety protection, including chemicals, noise, dust and debris.
  • This position requires direct contact with customers or suppliers in their environment.
  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

Expected Salary Range: $57,375.00 to 95,625.00
  • The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
