Job Description

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is looking for a Coordinator, Gift Administration to join a team committed to protecting our most important natural areas and the plants and animals they sustain.NCC is the nation’s leading not-for-profit, private land conservation organization, working to protect our most important natural areas and the species they sustain. With a national office in Toronto and seven regional offices across the country, NCC delivers results you can walk on.Position SummaryThe Coordinator, Gift Administration is responsible for:

  • Donation processing of all corporate employer matching gifts, donor designated gifts such as those from CanadaHelps and United Way chapters and other third party fund distributors like Chimps, etc.
  • Creating, updating and processing of all monthly pre-authorized donations from annual giving campaigns, ensuring integrity of all monthly donors and donor information in Raiser’s Edge
  • Maintaining and creating procedures and provide training on new tools and features
  • Providing support for Online monthly donation processing.
Position Requirements
  • College diploma or higher with minimum 3-4 years of data and gift entry experience
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge specifically on gift processing and receipting
  • Excellent knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency’s Receipting and Books and Records rules and regulations as well as requirements on personal and financial data protection
  • Familiarity with fundraising and accounting practices and procedures
  • Well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to prepare and manage timelines, goals and expectations wisely
  • Not for profit experience
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated
  • BCRE (Blackbaud Certification in Raiser’s Edge would be an asset)
