Join the #TEAMNORDEX and shape the future of energy with us.Position Summary:As Site Manager at Service, you will be responsible for your assigned customer service office within your wind farms and all resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities, and field services engineering.You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a high level of safety-first culture for the assigned location. Develop employees at service point at the highest standards for safety, quality, and customer service in all aspects of project operational performance. Mana third party providers for large correctives, system upgrades, and general service point support. Maintain contractual requirements for availability, planned maintenance schedules, unplanned interventions, and customer production goals for assigned service points. Create, manage, and communicate site levels budgetary P&L utilizing the site planner to ensure company targets are forecasted and achieved. Coordinate communication with other departments within Nordex Group to achieve resolution for technical and/or commercial customer concerns.Responsibilities:

  • Acts as responsible for on-site wind turbine generator OEM functions to assure turbine performance meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Manages requests received from the customer and coordinate all activities on-site with the customer.
  • Manages all OEM projects at the site.
  • Manages and supervises subcontractors hired by OEM at the site.
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly product performance reports.
  • Conducts and review safety analyses and review potential electrical and mechanical hazards.
  • Maintains and assures all mandated safety and regulatory training is completed and renewed.
  • Coordinates directly with AWPNA engineering and post-sales departments to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Provides training and coaching to on-site operations and maintenance teams to enhance their understanding of WTG functionality.
  • Reports component non-conformities to AWPNA Quality Assurance department for warranty or internal material review board processing.
  • Manages the inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables including the management of specialty tools that require calibrations.
  • Manages the completion and storage of required documentation related to all corrective and preventative tasks on the wind turbine generators.
  • Assures the company is complying with inter-company and external service agreements/contracts.
  • Meets company quality and safety standards to include federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations where applicable.
  • Participates in annual budget creation and review and track monthly O&M expenses
  • Travels to headquarters, industry-related conferences, or training events as required (5 -10% travel).
  • Analyzes downtime availability and adjust allocations.
  • Supports and maintains local, public, and landowner relations.
  • Manages, coordinates, and communicates, warranty, and retrofit implementation projects to the customer.
  • Coordinates data sharing with engineering and perform engineering studies.
  • Coordinates on and off-site logistics.

Direct Reports:Lead TechniciansService TechniciansRequirements:
  • Advanced university or engineering degree.
  • 2 – 5 years in a leadership position with 6 - 7 years’ experience in power generation equipment support with 3 years concentration in the wind turbine operations and maintenance required
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have experience supervising a team
  • Ability to utilize JD Edwards/ SAP and Maximo software systems
  • Ability to think and analyze situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a flexible and changing schedule as required to meet operational needs including managing several crossing processes, different work teams, and simultaneous demanding situations
  • Strengths will include excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to train and coach WTG technicians
  • Ability to successfully interact with key customer contacts and other internal departments
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to perform technical and economic feasibility analysis
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 260 lbs or less
  • Advanced university or engineering degree.
  • 2 – 5 years in a leadership position with 6 - 7 years’ experience in power generation equipment support with 3 years concentration in the wind turbine operations and maintenance required
  • Valid Drivers license with no restrictions
  • Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre employment screening requirements.
