Job Description

SummaryThe Field Training & Development Coach is responsible for coaching and mentoring new and existing employees on techniques for identifying at-risk behaviors.Responsibilities

  • Participate in CTA (Critical Task Analysis) reviews on rig sites and use the information collected to observe crews during these tasks
  • Educate and train rig crews on the expectations regarding SOV (Safe Operation Verification)
  • Attend crew hand over meetings to observe the communication between crews and ensure the time is utilized to its full potential
  • Complete at-risk observations each day to help the crew to understand the value in being aware of and dealing with at risk behaviors
  • Review safety meetings and materials from these meetings; helping crews to understand their value
  • Assist the field in competency development and assessment process
  • This position is a rotational field-based position with approximately 90% of the time in the field
Knowledge & SkillsHold a valid driver’s license and ability to produce a clean driver’s abstractExcellent communications skillsClear understanding of company standards and practicesMotivation to develop skills associated to HSE professional practices, procedures and regulationsFamiliarity with MS OfficeAbility to demonstrate a commitment to safety at all timesEducationHigh School Diploma, GED or EquivalentCertification in H2S Alive, First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, Rig Rescue, Fall Protection and Confined Space EntryExperienceOperational experience is an asset; preferably worked as a Driller or higherField experience with a proven safety recordPossess a working knowledge of drilling equipment and processesQuick Apply
