Job Description

This is a Career opportunity, Take this job and love it!CONTROLLERReporting to the CEO, the Controller will be responsible for directing and managing the financial, tax and treasury aspects of the company, mentor and develop staff, and provide oversight and planning of systems and reporting requirements. This is an thrilling opportunity and suited to an individual that enjoys a fast-paced team environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated analysis;
  • Oversight of daily accounting functions including the general ledger, billings/accounts receivable and accounts payable;
  • Support the operations team in establishing/advancing KPI’s and analyze and report on the financial/operating performance of the business units including capital programs;
  • Monitor and manage working capital requirements;
  • Preparation/overview of tax compliance matters including provincial sales/commodity taxes;
  • Oversight of treasury matters and compliance including share capital;
  • Provide oversight and guidance of payroll functions;
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to finance team;
  • Oversee advancement of systems to improve automation and efficiencies including invoicing, payroll systems, and the ERP system;
  • Develop and improve business and financial processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely operating and financial information;
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Completion of recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) with a minimum of ten years of finance and accounting experience (post designation) in an operational environment. Experience within the oilfield services industry required with manufacturing exposure a valuable asset;
  • Respected, innovative financial professional with excellent problem-solving skills and strong orientation to customer service;
  • Experience with reporting and presenting financial and operating information for decision making;
  • Experience with the implementation and integration financial reporting systems including;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the relationship between operations and financial results and to evaluate business and accounting issues;
  • Leadership skills including the ability to build and lead a cohesive team;
COMPENSATIONBased on experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Up to $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:

  • Nisku, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree (preferred)
Experience:
  • Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
