Job Description

Position Summary:Citadel is currently performing drilling operations in the Permian basin (West Texas and New Mexico) and is looking to add qualified drilling rig personnel to our team. Those selected for the position will have the ability to work in the United States and will be providing relief to all rigs as scheduled to backfill time off requests, visa renewals and rig move requirements. As relief personnel you will be working various positions including Floorhand, Motorhand and on occasion Derrickhand to meet operations current needs. During your rotation you may also be required to work in the yard if no rig-based fill-in position are available.As relief personnel you may be recalled on short notice to help support Operations, this will include being placed on an extra crew that will be designated to assist with rig moves where you will help move the rig and camp as well as rigging up and rigging out as required.The primary duties of the rig tech are to ensure that all equipment is operating and functioning properly. Making/breaking drill pipe connections, tripping, running casing and assisting with cementing operations. Other duties include servicing rig components and equipment including the draworks, top drive, auto-wrench and hydraulic pipe handling system and completing minor repairs on equipment as directed. All our crew members will be required to work a 20/10 rotation. Single room accommodations are provided on location, with per diem paid bi-weekly. Provided PPE includes coveralls, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Tripping pipe and making connections.Ensure that the drill floor and all equipment is kept clean and orderly at all times.Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment and assist in maintenance and repair of machinery.Inspect main engines for proper working order.Inspect pipe spinner, ensure it is in proper working order.Inspect rotary table.Inspect tongs for wear, ensure they are in proper working orderInspect air compressors and compressed air system for proper working order.Inspect BOP accumulator unit each tour for proper working order.Assist Derrickhand in mixing mud and chemicals and working on pumps.Handling of tubular goods - inspection and measurement.Assist in drill line slip-and-cut program.Assist in moving the rig and camp, rigging up and rigging out.Clean up and proper storage/placement of tools.Other Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate safety leadership through the application of safe work practices.Comply with Citadel’s QHSE safety standards as outlined in Citadel’s QHSE manual as well as Support and promote the HSE program to all employees.Active participation in weekly safety meetings, rig inspections, and hazard I.D. programs.Report all incidents and learning opportunities (near misses) to the Driller or Rig Manager.Ensure performance of duties reflects and supports Citadel’s PAC²T values.Assist in drill line slip-and-cut program.Preform all other duties as instructed by Driller or Rig ManagerQualifications and Abilities:Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working on an AC Triple drilling rig.Possess a strong mechanical aptitude.Excellent communicator with demonstrated experience working effectively in a team setting.Able to work in a fast paced physically demanding environment.Work outdoors and in various weather conditions.Able to meet drug and alcohol test requirements and fitness to work.Possess a valid H2S certificate and obtain other required certifications.References required.Ability to qualify for a USA work visa and provide clear criminal background check.Rl86DYpYu8
