Norwood Foundry Ltd is currently hiring a Foundry Molder/Core Maker. Our Foundry Molder/Core Makers form molds used in the production of metal castings. They also sift and pack sand into mold sections, core boxes, and pattern contours, using hand or pneumatic ramming tools.This is a Permanent Full-Time position, hours are Monday to Friday 5:00AM to 2:00PM.General Tasks Include:· Following gauge temperature readings and product criteria to cast molds.· Clean and smooth molds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.· Spot, fit and assemble various mold components to close tolerance using hand and power tools.· Position cores into sections of molds and reassemble molds for pouring.· Tend machines that bond cope and drag together to form completed shell molds.· Cut spouts, runner holes, and sprue holes into molds.Requirements:· Not required but experience working in a Foundry is an asset.· Not required but experience in a Molding/Core Maker role is an asset.· Good physical condition, capable of repetitive lifting and physical labor.· Able to work in an environment that may include exposure to dust, moving mechanical parts and noise.· Strong skills in measurements and mechanical aptitude· Strong attention to detail and one who takes pride in their work.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:
