Job Description

Brandt Truck Rigging & Trailers is seeking an individual to fill the position of Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician. This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers. Shift premiums and a boot & tool allowance will be provided.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to conduct CVIP inspections
  • Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems
  • Ability to repair and adjust mechanical components
  • Complete written and oral work orders
  • Repair and adjust truck drive lines, engines and any other necessary mechanical components
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs
  • Other mechanical repair work and duties as required
Required Skills
  • Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal or Apprentices & CVIP certification considered an asset
  • We encourage 1st yr, 2nd yr and 3rd yr Apprentices to apply
  • Ability to follow safe work practices
  • Completion of College/vocational technical training
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to communication both verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
