Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator supports the operations of Hunting’s Nisku facility. Our Nisku facility is the operations center for our Field Services, and additionally handles the distribution of raw material to our licensees and product to our customers. The main purpose of this position is to ship, receive, and organize products in a professional manner. This position offers an opportunity to learn about Hunting’s organization and progress into our Field Services Sales and Services Representative position.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesShipping and Receiving duties include:Working with NAV (ERP System), create shipping documents and process shipment against the Work Order or Purchase Order.Physically gather all required products, package, and ship.Receive all incoming shipments, document physical location in NAV and stock in corresponding location in the warehouse.Notify appropriate employee that the process is complete and ready for the next step.Physically manage gauges under the direction of the QA Manager, including shipping or delivering gauges to customer and shipping to the US to be recertified.Operate forklift and industrial yard loader.Managing rental equipment, including inspection, and shipping and receiving.Required to drive and deliver products to clients and licensees in the Nisku and Edmonton area, comfortable driving 1 ton truck with gooseneck trailer.Facility upkeep including yard maintenance.Ringing and drilling couplings and bucking on couplings, training to be provided.Adheres to all safety standards, policies, and procedures.Monthly safety audits of the shop and regular upkeep of equipment.Forklift and loader inspections.ScheduleThe typical schedule for this position will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Flexibility is required for occasional evening and weekend work and on-call rotation.Required Skills/ExperienceTwo years of related experience is preferred, however recent graduates with a keen attitude to learn will be considered.Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook), prior experience with an ERP system and the ability to learn and become proficient with new software.Excellent communication and listening skills.Strong Organizational Skills.Works well in a team environment and alone.Forklift training.Driver’s license (class 5) and clean abstract.Mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of tools.Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive financial and other business-related information.Must be able to arrange for regular and reliable attendance.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (These vision requirements relate to obtaining a valid driver’s license and recognizing color coded labels)The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
