The Maintenance Technician is responsible for attending to general hotel maintenance requests and providing superior customer service to guests while completing tasks and fostering and maintaining a good Occupational Health & Safety work record for the hotel.Working Hours: Working hours are usually 44 hours a week., including weekends and evenings, as well as, overnight when required or during emergencies.Hotel Maintenance Technicians work and responsibility are, but not limited to:· Perform maintenance and repairs for interior and exterior of hotel building, Guest rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection, boilers and other water treatment systems, and swimming pool, hot tub, water slide, spray deck, etc.· Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and fixtures.· Responding to day to day breakdowns and maintenance issues for strong guest satisfaction.· Outside maintenance (lawn/snow removal).· Minor electrical and plumbing.· Preventative maintenance to building and equipment.· Diagnosing faults & issues· Repairing equipment and fitting new parts.· Dealing with emergencies, constant interruptions, distractions, time pressures, unplanned problems and repairs and staff pressures.· Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.· Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.· Carrying out quality inspection.· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.· Managing budgets and cost control.· Maintaining statistical records· Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation· Following maintenance procedures· Managing and organizing the inventory of supplies and equipment.· Shift and “On Call†availability required.Skills Required:· An ability to work well under pressure· Good verbal and written communication skills· Relevant technical knowledge· Problem-solving skills· Efficiency and organization· Team working skillsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00-$26.00 per hourBenefits:
