Job Description

AECOM is hiring a Material Preservation Technician to join our team at the CNRL Laydown yard, in Nisku, Alberta. This position has a duration of approximately 1 year and will be on a 5/2 schedule working 8 hours per day.Materials Preservation Technicians will be expected to do but not limited to the following tasks:+ Follow the preservation schedule for new and existing equipment based on owner/supplier recommendations, the initial condition recorded on reports along with pictures of tag and equipment.+ Document all activities on daily reports by tag number and submit daily an electronic copy of each datasheet.+ Complete monthly preservation activities as scheduled.+ Complete semi-annual and annual activities as scheduled such as oil changes, desiccant changes, nitrogenpurges.+ Prepare material to ship out as required such as drain oils, install shaft locks, put guards on and completethe final inspection.+ Complete electrical work as required such as megger test, motor windings, hook up motor heaters.+ Provide on call services in the event of a plant emergency.+ Remove and install equipment from larger skids at Canadian Natural’s request.+ Support warehouse/preservation/quality control special activities as required.+ Support cranes, rigging, jack and slide as required.+ Support crating and wrapping as required.+ Support AECOM SMS programsAll workers must be Fully Vaccinated (2 shots + 14 days) – Proof of vaccination is required to access all CNRL sites._Conditions of Employment for this position are: _1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Companys Alcohol & Drug Policy.
