Job Description

We are looking to hire MPD Field Supervisors to join our team!You will be responsible for overseeing a team of MPD Field Operators and the installation and operations of Beyond Energy’s equipment on-site and at the shop facilities.This position is the first point of contact with key personnel on location, such as Company Men and Drillers, and responsible for relaying vital information regarding customer service requirements and expectations from the field site location to Beyond Energy MPD Engineers and Operations teamWhy Beyond

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise field installation and operation of Beyond Energy’s Managed Pressure Drilling jobs from job pre-planning and logistics, management of on-site personnel, and post-well reporting.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting to repair Managed Pressure Drilling equipment.
  • Main point of contact with customers on-site, maintaining professional relationships with the clients, ongoing job status communication, and demonstrating and explaining Managed Pressure Drilling technology and process when required.
  • Supervise all Managed Pressure Drilling field tests.
  • Recommend new approaches and specifications for equipment, software, and procedures.
  • May assist in managing optimum pressure control to achieve drilling objectives.
  • Assisting with coordination of field crew rotational schedule, timesheets, and personnel-related transactions for field crew.
  • Assist with coordinating equipment mobilization between Beyond shops and field locations.
  • Provide training and guidance to MPD Operators and field personnel.
  • Able to rig up and operate all MPD equipment on-site and at shop facilities when required
Experience and Educational:
  • 5+ years of MPD/UBD Operations Experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years MPD Supervisory Experience.
  • Technically competent in MPD Operations and Equipment - verified through a pre-employment skills assessment.
Requirements:
  • Advanced understanding of mechanics and hydraulics.
  • Basic understanding of electronics.
  • Familiar with drilling issues as they relate to drilling - velocity to clean a well.
  • Knowledge of slinging and lifting overhead loads.
  • Understand Process and Information Diagrams and Flow Systems.
  • Familiar with regulatory code and safety policy.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-directed and demonstrate sound decision-making.
  • Excellent written and oral skills - must be capable of communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel at the field and office level.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
This position works on a rotational schedule with typical shift lengths of 12 hours and will require travel away from home staying in camp or hotel locations.
