ABOUT BROCK::The Brock Group is a leading provider of industrial specialty services to clients around the world, with headquarters in Houston, TX, and operating units in Canada, the United States, and Latin America. With the Canadian head office in Nisku, the company supports routine maintenance, turnarounds, and industrial capital projects by providing services including scaffolding and work access, insulation, fireproofing, and asbestos abatement, for general maintenance, construction, turnarounds, and shutdowns to western Canadian producers.Brock Canada has a summer job opening for Payroll Administrator, in this role you will assist payroll and finance team.This position is made possible largely due to Canada Summer Jobs Grant (CSJ). To be eligible a participant must bea) between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;(b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: :

  • Possess advanced troubleshooting and communication skills to solve complex problems.
  • Organized, detailed oriented and works independently.
  • Professional and concise communication in written and oral form.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excels operating in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Good analytical skills and basic accounting and payroll knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: :
  • Manage compensation and invoices
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approval
  • Issue statement and invoices and maintain records
  • High level of data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
