Job Description

Together we strive to maintain a friendly, fair, safe and creative work environment, which promotes diversity, product improvement and hard work.The RoleOur Production workers help support the functions of line operation and packaging. The candidate should be willing and able to take instruction from their Line Lead, QA Specialist and Supervisor. The functions may vary based on production line assignment and needs. This AM shift is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with some overtime as needed.Candidates must follow all GMP and health and safety requirements and ensure clean work environment. The individual may also be required take product to the freezer for storage and shipment.Production-Packaging Line Workers: Job Duties

  • Ensure only quality product is processed using the First In First Out policy
  • Review daily production requirements and assigned duty for the day
  • Assist in setting up equipment and supplies required for processing
  • Assist the Line Lead in bringing raw material from cook room, in-process cooler and freezer
  • Promotes teamwork and ensure smooth running of the production line
  • Verify packaged material required with line lead and QA, ensuring the right type of packaging material is used.
  • Ensure that the products are in good condition
  • Ensure product being packed meets the quality standards and specifications before inserting into the packaging material, rejecting the non-conforming products (over cooked, incorrect shape, underweight, overweight etc.)
  • Ensures that no product is processed without proper visible date and lot code requirements.
  • Confirm all the products are properly packed and the required labelling are visible
  • To report any deviation to a QA or line lead as soon immediately as it is detected.
  • Must be capable of working in cool/cold environment. (Refrigeration)
  • Reports to: Line Leads and Production Supervisors
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12
  • Must be able to verify product quality and take responsibility to report any deficiency to Line lead and supervisor immediately.
  • Benefit if comfortable with technology and able to enter data in an online system.
Safety:
  • Repetitive physical tasks (Walking, lifting, bending and standing)
  • Lifting up to 25 kgs.
  • Working in cool environment (refrigeration)
