Job Description

Matrix is hiring for a Shop Hand/Labourer for a permanent role for our client. This is a great opportunity to use your skills and develop your career.Job Purpose:Responsible for general facility up-keep, maintenance, and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience performing centrifuge repair with a working knowledge of centrifuge operation.
  • Working knowledge of gearbox and centrifugal pump repair and/or operation is considered an asset.
  • Millwright Apprentice or related trade certification is an asset.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and customer service.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines.
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications/Competencies:The individual in this role will have:
