Job Description

Labourers needed for 2021-2022 Snow Removal Season - Beginning Immediately!Blue Grass Sod Farms Ltd. is seeking experienced Crew Leads and helpers for the upcoming snow removal season to join our team!Looking for reliable, motivated, hard workers who are safety orientated. Full time and Part time positions available. Looking for Hand work crews days and nights, Also night time Operators.Although this position is for the winter season, the business operates year-round. Successful applicants will have the opportunity for permanent employment.JOB DESCRIPTION: *ON CALL 24/7*Remove snow manually &/or operating snow removal equipment such as backpack blowers, power brooms, snow blowers and hand tools with your crew

  • Check ice conditions at properties and apply appropriate materials
  • Work long days during heavy snowfall ( Day and night shifts available)
  • Able to complete work efficiently while adhering to Blue Grass safety policies & procedures
  • Work well in a team environment, ability to supervise and delegate tasks to crew members
  • Posses good time management skills, take pride in your work
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Property maintenance experience and or construction
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs and enjoy working outdoors
  • Have a valid class 5 drivers license, reliable transportation to site
  • First aid is an asset
  • Skid steer/ Loader experience (not required)
  • Safety orientated in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to do labour work as required
