Job Description

Position:

  • Industrial Painter (Full Time)
Main Duties:
  • Operate, maintain paint pumps and hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat large items with protective coatings.
  • Prepare and apply decals and other items to customer specifications on the finished product.
  • Read and interpret work orders, safety and data sheets and on occasion blueprints.
  • Inspect surfaces for contamination as well completion of all previous operations prior to application of paint.
  • Mark, record and report defects.
  • Apply high performance protective coatings to metal surfaces, fabricated parts, and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of chemical application techniques.
  • Selecting and mixing the appropriate paint.
  • Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes, rollers or spray cans.
  • Prepare and repair any damages, imperfections, or issues of non conformance reported.
  • Clean and maintain painting and coating guns, pumps, ventilation, wash booth and personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with company policies and safe work procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
Employment Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a painter is required, and any formal training, apprenticeship or red seal certification is definitely considered an asset.
Specific Skills:
  • Experience using a spray gun or experience with powder paint systems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with an ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Critical eye for identifying defects.
  • Commitment to quality and safety.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Some evening and weekend shifts MAY be required
  • Some over-time MAY be required
PLEASE NOTE: Reliable transportation is required as we are not accessible by public transportation. Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00-$30.00 per hourAdditional pay:
