Job Description

Job descriptionDuties and ResponsibilitiesApplicants will be required to collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to effectively operate our kitchen. Experience in maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring food quality is essential. Other responsibilities and duties of the Cook/Kitchen Helper include:

  • Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
  • Prepares foods to the specifications of the client, as directed by manager
  • Prepares food before the arrival of guests
  • Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
  • Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, deep fryer, stand mixer and etc.
  • Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
  • Devises new recipes or assists in the development
  • Estimates expected food consumption and organises preparation
  • Keeps records and accounts of food purchases
  • Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience
Job Duties:
  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Additional Duties:
  • Assist with menu planning
  • Recording food temperature
  • Preparing reports
  • Updating inventory
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing of storage spaces
NOTE: All Goldeye Centre team members will be required to potentially work in all areas as needs arise, which may include kitchen, grounds, housekeeping, programs and events. Work will be assigned according to need, ability and if required training will be provided.Successful candidates also must possess a Valid Class 5 Drivers License and provide a security clearance with vulnerable sector check.The Goldeye Centre offers competitive wages, flexible hours and we provide all staff housing on site.
