Come work as an Audiometric and Vision Technician at Vancouver Coastal Health!Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is looking for an Audiometric and Vision Technician to join the team in North Vancouver, BC. This posiiton will work out of the Central Community Health Centre and Lions Gate Hospital. Apply today to join our team!As an Audiometric and Vision Technician you will:- Conduct screening (vision and hearing tests) and assist with the provision of clinical audiology services and the promotion of awareness and maximal use and/or preservation of hearing abilities to clients of all ages at various sites, hearing clinics, schools and/or other community settings.Educationamp; Experience- Grade 12.- Two (2) years experience as an audiometric technician and experience working within a hearing screening program or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience in a related clinical setting.- Experience working with infants, children, adults and their families and experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.- Valid BC Drivers Licence.Knowledgeamp; Abilities- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.- Ability to prioritize and organize workload.- Ability to practice and deliver client and family centered care.- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.- Ability to work in preschools, schools and community health care settings.- Physical ability and manual dexterity to carry out the duties of the position.- Ability to operate related equipment.- Ability to type.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
