Together we help Canadians to do more with their money and that gets us out of bed every day.Are you passionate about striping jargon from business communication to create easy to read and engaging copyDo you believe in the power of your words to make a differenceDo you enjoy seeing the results of your work bear fruit with testingIf you answered yes to these questions and you have the experience and skills outlined below, we would love to hear from you.RESPONSIBILITIES:In this role you will research and create high-quality written marketing editorial and promotional material to retain and grow our subscription base and assist with communications to wealth management clients/prospects.Write marketing-driven editorial content for the website:

• Develop daily marketing posts for the website using existing editorial, that can be sent out to subscribers.

• Ensure written content is optimized for search engine optimization.

• Edit free reports (a blend of marketing copy and editorial) for distribution through the website with the purpose of attracting new email subscribers.
• Use A/B testing of email subject lines and other marketing copy to improve engagement.

Write marketing content for the company:

• Write weekly email promotions for distribution to our subscriber base.
• Create (or review) ads for use in the different categories of the website including landing pages.
• Write ads for paid advertising (i.e., Google Ad words/Facebook advertising).

• Add to your love of testing – write copy to test new ideas vs control in order to strive to beat your previous best (and celebrate proudly afterwards).

• Write and update our sales material posted on the website or distributed to our clients and subscribers.
• Create phone scripts for sales, training, and marketing purposes.

Write marketing copy and communications for wealth management:

• Write copy for lead generation marketing efforts – email; web; paid advertising.
• Contribute toward communications to prospects in our sales funnel and exiting clients.

Proof outgoing material before sending:

• Repurpose editorial content to produce daily marketing copy emails and weekly promotions.
• Review all direct mail and other print material for final approval by editor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Required:

• Minimum of 3+ years demonstrated experience in copywriting/direct response marketing copy.
• Strong fundamental understanding of stocks and investing.
• University degree (i.e., Journalism, Communications, Marketing).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word with working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Understands the importance of testing copy to improve results.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to proofread and review documents as required.

Preferred (but not essential for the right candidate):

• Investment / financial services experience.
• Experience in a newsletter subscription or wealth management business.
