Our mandate is to focus on enabling our business partners through technology currency, emerging technologies, governance and security as well as empowering them with Business Intelligence (BI) tools. The successful *candidate is expected to have a passion for Information Technologies and will need to be able to pick up, understand and become proficient in a wide range of software products and technologies.As a member of the DMS team, the Delivery Manager will play an integral part of the relationship management, planning and delivery leadership for the DMS portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will have 7 or more years experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in Project Management and/or Delivery Management. This role will be accountable to initiate, plan and mobilize project teams, and then govern them through to execution. She/he is accountable to remove barriers and facilitate solutions to address business partners’ needs.

• Ability to receive Security clearance is required for this role [minimum of 5 consecutive years of residency in Canada].

What will you do

• Participate in end-to-end solution delivery. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and with required quality.
• Involvement in project intake and estimation.
• Work closely with the Architect and DMS Leadership during the concept phase of project to define project delivery approach and methodology.
• Be accountable for project leadership from project initiation to implementation.
• Create reusable solutions, processes or work products that meet or exceed business requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate organization, governance, decision making, and delivery structures are in place to drive outcomes articulated in the business case, CBA, business requirements, and program/project charter.
• Ensure that standards and best practices for project/program management processes are applied to the plan.
• Ensure timely and effective communication vehicles exist between program/project teams, sponsors, stakeholders, etcc and are levered effectively.
• Perform regular delivery risk reviews and support the project teams with escalations and resolutions as required. Serve as an escalation point for delivery issues.
• Be responsible for governance of project budgets, contribute innovative ideas for best practice and process improvements.
• Establish project structure and reporting relationships, ensure that everybody understands the project goals and his/her role and responsibilities, encourage good working relationships among all project team members, motivate and resolve conflicts between individual members of the team.
• Partner with Program Management to align demand with Supply capacities and ensure that resources are aligned strategically in order to maximize project success.

What do you need to succeed

• University level degree in Computer Science or related information technology degree/diploma or equivalent experience
• 5 - 7 years of experience of project management experience
• Understand and put complex concepts into action and Ability to lead small, medium and large project teams
• Strong understanding of business area drivers and priorities
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle parallel projects efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration skills as well as relationship and team building skills
• Willingness to share ideas and speak up in small to medium sized groups
• Ability to establish long-term partnerships with the business partners and account teams
• Ability to facilitate business prioritization and decisions
• Can effectively coach/counsel others and provide feedback to improve performance
• Knowledge of Cloud concepts, Relational and Non-Relational databases
• Foundational knowledge of Lean / Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Mixture of strong business acumen, understanding of data and information
