Job Description

Around The Net (ATN) Hockey is looking to hire passionate, energetic, responsible, reliable, and experienced instructors to join our team. We pride ourselves on building relationships on and off the ice, while leaving lasting impressions with our clients. At ATN Hockey, we specialize in small group skill training while providing individualized attention with focus on repetition and proper correction.We are specifically looking for instructors to join us for our Saturday Toronto program (mornings & afternoons). Additional opportunities available as well. We offer competitive pay rates as well as flexible hours. Our positions are ideal for post-secondary students or professionals looking for a side hustle. Previous hockey instructing experience is a must, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required. Room for growth in the company.   • Facilitates, leads and supervises hockey programs.
  • Follows lesson plan as organized by the Lead Instructor.
  • Ability to organize and write a hockey lesson plan if needed.
  • Prepares and organizes program equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures safety at all times, enforcing safety regulations.
  • Ensures the site, equipment and supplies are appropriate to the activity and environment to reduce and minimize risk to other staff and participants.
  • Ability to run off-ice programs during full day camps including dryland, games, and hockey talk.
  • Shifts: Full Day, Half Day, 1 or 2-Hour Shift
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Passion for the game of hockey.
  • Age: Post-secondary students and older.
  • Two years demonstrated experience which includes working with children in an instructional sports setting.
  • Instructional or playing experience in hockey required.
  • Level 1 NCCP Theory is considered an asset
  • Current Standard First Aid Certification with CPR “C” is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, customer service skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of parents and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Access to a personal vehicle (due to programs in a variety of GTA locations)
  • A police record check is required.
