Our strong leadership team of forward-thinking businesspeople and dedicated hard-working employees continually put their focus and attention on the agent and their business.Simple, Reliable, Profitable.DescriptionThe part-time Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will assist the Director of Human Resources with various HR tasks and provide administrative support to the employees and company. This role will be involved in talent acquisition, on and off-boarding employees, record maintenance, benefits, learning and development and compliance. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be trustworthy, a go-getter, have a customer service focused mentality and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The candidate will work between 20-25 hours per week at the head office located at Eglinton and Don Mills.Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level support to employees on HR related matters
  • Assist Hiring Managers with the recruitment process by posting jobs, identifying candidates, conducting pre-screen interviews, scheduling interviews, participating in interviews, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts
  • Manage the The Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations across the company to ensure compliance
  • Assist with the onboarding and off-boarding process of employees
  • Administer health benefits programs, including enrolments, updates and terminations
  • Maintain BambooHR, the company HRIS ensuring information is up to date and accurate
  • Create, revise and update company policies and procedures as advised
  • Assist Executive Assistant with office facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, cleanliness and organization
  • Support the Director of HR and the Social Squad on various tasks and company initiatives throughout the year
  • Other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 2+ years HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or similar role
  • Degree or Diploma in HR, Business, Administration an asset
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Employment Standards Act, AODA and Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Working knowledge of BambooHR or other HRIS
  • Talent acquisition experience (knowledge with LinkedIn Recruiting)
  • Trustworthy and capable of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills
  • Organized with superior attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task various projects at once while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Team player, sound judgment, approachable, supportive, positive, responsive, respectful and transparent are all important qualities needed
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, Canva and Social Media platforms
